Red Cross to offer Disaster Training in Woodville

The American Red Cross will be offering Disaster Training Mini-Institute in Woodville from April 22nd through April 25th, 2009. The training will prepare you to help others in your community during a disaster. The American Red Cross teaches individuals from families, churches, fire departments, school districts, or businesses how to prepare and respond to various scenarios during a hurricane, tornado, fire, or flood event. Courses will be held in the mornings (8-12 a.m.) and afternoons (1-5 p.m.) sessions. Shelter operations and shelter simulation will be offered on either Wednesday April 22 (morning and afternoon sessions) or on Saturday April 25 (morning and afternoon sessions). The training will be located at the Nutrition Center located at 201 Willow in Woodville. There is no charge for the disaster training.
