Another successful Festival of the Arts

Mother Nature did her best to dampen the enthusiasm of the 2010 Festival of the Arts held last weekend in Woodville, but the cool weather and afternoon rain didn’t keep folks away from Heritage Village or Downtown Woodville, with both venues drawing a good group of visitors. Heritage Village was the place to be if you enjoy the fabric arts. There was a great display of handmade quilts throughout the Village, including the Buggy Barn, where the one pictured at right was shown. The Spinners and Weavers were out, demonstrating yarn dyeing, spinning and weaving. The stage area featured a number of musical acts throughout the day Saturday, as well as Sunday during the always successful Dinner on the Grounds. The Art League and Emporium had a full day of activites in Downtown Woodville featuring artists demonstrating their crafts, storytelling in a real Teepee, and Musical Enterntainment.
