Relay For Life April 30 At Warrior Stadium in Warren

‘This year we will be having the Tyler County Relay for Life in Warren, at the Warrior Stadium,” said organizer Leann Monk. “Warren ISD is so graciously allowing us to use their facilities this year so we can truly make Relay about the whole county not just one area.” With this change, the Relay committee is hoping that South Tyler County will have a more prominent attendance. The Relay committee is excited about the change and looking forward to our largest event in our eight year history. Last year, the event raised over $80,000 for cancer research and patient services. “Most people don’t realize that ACS is not just research,” said Monk. “ The ACS is available for patient assistance during and after cancer treatments with gas cards and hotel programs just to name a couple of services offered. The money we raise, helps the patients right here in Tyler County.” This year the Tyler County Relay for Life will be at the Warrior Stadium on April 30 with the opening ceremonies beginning at 6:00p.m. There will be a survivor dinner starting at 5:00 and lots of hometown entertainment throughout the night.
