Charity Softball Tournament March 7
Tyler County Booster - February 2009
The second annual Relay for Life charity softball tournament is scheduled for March 7, 2009. The Co-Ed slow-pitch tournament is a yearly event for the purpose of raising financial support and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. The 15-member team entry fee is $100.00 and is due by March 4, 2009. All teams must be composed of or sponsored by a Relay for Life team. There are a limited number of slots available, so enter early. The first ten (10) teams to enter will fill the bracket. Entry forms can be obtained from Donna Spivey at Woodville Veterinary Clinic or Lee Ann Monk at the Tyler County Tax Office. The monies raised from the entry fees of this event will be given to the American Cancer Society by the winning Relay for Life team, as part of their fund raising activity. The tournament bracket will be set after all entries are in with games starting at 8:00 am Saturday March 7, 2009. Games will continue throughout the day with the finals taking place Saturday evening. All proceeds from this event will go to benefit the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
