Ivanhoe Landowners form two cities
Tyler County Booster - January 2010

Nov. 12—For the citizens of the two newest cities in Tyler County, this day has been a long time coming. With a need to obtain more funding to maintain services, Ivanhoe Landowners formed an Incorporation Committee and spent a lot of time looking at options for the community. Their hard worked paid off November 3 when the citizens voted to create two cities, Ivanhoe and Ivanhoe North. Creation of the two cities is the beginning of a process, with plans to ultimately merge the two cities into one, a move which will make the resulting city the second largest in Tyler County according to new city officials. Congratulations to your two newest Tyler County Cities.
