Special Ed Cooperative Screening For Preschool Program

Tyler County Special Education Cooperative will be screening children who may be eligible for the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) and live in Tyler County during the week of August 3, 2009. To qualify for the program, the child must live in the Chester, Colmesneil, Spurger, Warren or Woodville Independent School District, be between the ages of 3 and 5 years old, and have one or more of the following disabilities which will interfere with the ability to learn: Mental Retardation, Orthopedic Impairment, other Health Impairment (which will affect learning and has been diagnosed by a licensed physician), Auditory Impairment, Visual Impairment, Emotional Disturbance, Learning Impairment, Speech or Language Impairment, Autistic or Pervasive Development Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Deaf-Blindness.
