Commissioners award roof replacement bid
Tyler County Booster - July 2009
Tyler County Commissioners during a special meeting Monday awarded the contract to replace the Tyler County Justice Center roof to Monument Construction of Beaumont. Total cost of the project is $75, 202 dollars. Commissioners have been working for some time on selecting contractors to handle both the roof work and replacing the air conditioning system in the facility. The roof work needs to be completed first. This decision will get work started on these necessary repairs to the aging facility. The structure, which will be replaced by a new facility in the future, has been leaking for some time.
The Court also approved the purchase of five new computers for the County Clerk’s office. Tyler County Clerk Donece Gregory said that the expansion that the move into the newly renovated J.B. Best building has allowed means she needs additional computers. Two new computers are needed for the front counter, two for the desks of part-time employees and an additional computer. Total cost for the five computers is $5,470. Commissioners approved the request. Also on the agenda, the Court approved an Intergovernmental Agreement among the County, area Volunteer Fire Departments, Chester Water Supply Corportation and Wildwood Property Owners Association. The agreement will eventually result in generators for these entities from ORCA. |
