Burn Ban In Effect
Tyler County Booster - July 2009

Commissioners have ordered a county wide burn ban into effect as of June 30, 2009 at 10 a.m. The ban will last 30 days from the date of adoption of the Order unless restrictions are terminated earlier based on a determination by the Texas Forest Service or the Court. The ban does not prohibit outdoor burning activities related to public health and safety authorized by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality which includes firefighter training, public utility operations, planting or harvesting of agricultural crops or those conducted by a prescribed certified burn manager.
