Felony drug bust in Woodville results in three arrests

Tyler County Sheriffs department Sgt. Jeff Mashaw obtained a search warrant Friday, July 1 for an apartment complex on the corner of North Beech and Bluebonnet in Woodville. The tenants were not home at the time officers found pill bottles full of crack cocaine, broken into rocks for the purpose of selling. La r r y Demond Wright, age 36 of Kountze was at the home with two small children. Wright was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance greater than one gram and less than four grams, a felony offense. The children were taken to the home of a family member. A warrant was then issued for Fredrick Wright, age 32 of Kirbyville and Crystal Unique Midkiff, age 26 of Woodville, both of whom lived at the residence. Woodville police found and arrested the two on charges of possession of a controlled substance greater than one gram and less than four grams, a felony offense. Bond amount was set for $15,000 each. “Drug dealers beware in Tyler County,” said Sheriff David Hennigan. “Law enforcement is out to get you off the streets of our community.
