Steven and Carol Page of Ivanhoe are thankful to family member “Pebbles” for waking up Steve at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, April 13. According to their report, Carol was working a double shift when five month old Pebbles kept barking and jumping on Steve, who is disabled. When Steve awoke, he smelled smoke and grabbed the phone to dial 9-1-1. Ivanhoe fire department arrived on the scene approximately 20 minutes later to find the home fully engulfed, but the owner safe because of Pebbles insistent barking and jumping. Bubbles & Bows Pet Grooming in Woodville awarded Pebbles with this Doggie Hero trophy. Well deserved!
