Six DWI arrests were made in the city limits of Woodville this week, a noted increase from past months. Timmy Eugene Bedwell, age 50 of Port Arthur was stopped by officer Jeremy Byrum. Byrum made contact with the driver and immediately observed an open container of alcohol in the console. Bedwell was charged with third offense DWI felony, no insurance, open container, no driver’s license and expired motor vehicle registration. His vehicle was impounded. On May 2 at around 5 pm. Sergeant Hicks was notified by an off-duty trooper about a possible intoxicated driver, traveling west on Hwy. 190 towards Hennigan ballpark. The driver was identified as William Brandon Snider, age 27, of Colmesneil. The officer observed alcohol, obvious signs of intoxication and conducted a field sobriety test which concluded Snider was intoxicated. Snider also had a child in the vehicle at the time of the arrest. Snider became combative and officer Jeremy Byrum was summoned to assist and restrained the driver.
