Annual Christmas Tour of Homes Dec. 5
Tyler County Booster - November 2009
The Woman’s Reading Club of Woodville will host its annual Christmas Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 5, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Featured on the tour this year are the patio garden and home of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Holderman and the guest lodge at Mr. and Mrs. Walter Umphrey’s Timberline Ranch.
A tour of the Holderman home will take you through festive, decorated rooms designed for comfortable family
living. Refreshments will be served in the beautiful pool and patio areas which will also be decorated for the season.
A garden of poinsettias will welcome you to the Umphrey’s guest lodge. Open for tour will be the grand sitting room, dining room, kitchen, and guest rooms as well as the outdoor living area. The beautiful poinsettias grown at Timberline Nursery will be offered for purchase at $10.00 per plant.
Tickets are $8.00 each and may be purchased from club members,
Tyler County Chamber of Commerce, Tyler County Art League, Heritage Village, Sullivan’s Hardware, Loretta’s Salon, and Jarrott’s Pharmacy. Each ticket provides admission to both properties, refreshments served at the Holderman home, and a Christmas ornament compliments of Sullivan’s Hardware Store. All proceeds from the tour ticket and poinsettia sales will fund scholarships to be awarded to selected 2010 Woodville High School graduates. These scholarships will benefit promising students interested in the fields of education, medicine, and general higher education. Students who are interested in baccalaureate or associate degrees may apply through the Woodville High School counselor’s office.
