21st Annual Harvest Festival October 16-18
Tyler County Booster - October 2009

Heritage Village’s 21st Annual Harvest Festival kick’s off Friday, October 16 with “Kids’s Day” and continues through Sunday, October 18. Last year’s Festival was a big success, and with nice weather in the forecast, this one looks like it’s going to be even bigger! There is simply no good excuse to stay home! The gates, as always, will open at 9 a.m. each day and close at 5 p.m. The Spinner’s and Weavers’ Guild will demonstrate their craft and are always interesting to watch and learn from. Bobbin lace-makers will be on hand to demonstrate their incredible art. If you are interested in quilts and quilting, don’t miss the Sassy Scrappers Quilt Guild. The Festival will also feature a photography contest, Pioneer Craft Demonstrations, Artists, Pottery, Blacksmithing, Folk Dance and Music and a whole lot more. You can also count on a lot of good music, cultural performances, and a lot of good food. The Railroad Museum will also be open with a large collection of model railroads. Other demonstrators at the event will include blacksmiths, broom makers, corn shellers and crafts people of all kinds! Admission for adults is $6 and $3 for Children under 12. Under 5 and they get in free. Don’t miss this opportunity for some great family fun.
