The final registration for the 45th annual Miss Tyler County Pageant will be held Saturday, November 21st. The American Business Women’s Association, who sponsor this annual event, are excited to begin making arrangements for this year’s pageant which will be held on Saturday, February 6th. Contestants ages 5 to 12 will once again appear in an afternoon pageant scheduled for 1:30pm at the Eagle Summit. These contestants will have interviews at the Woodville High School Library prior to their stage presentation. Attire is church dress or pageant dress with pageant coordinators stressing the importance of age appropriateness. Each crowned winner from the afternoon pageant will be presented on stage during the evening pageant. Contestants ages 13 to juniors in high school will compete in an evening pageant set to begin at 6:30pm in the Eagle Summit. These contestants will also be interviewed in the Woodville High School Library prior to their stage presentation.

Attire is full length formal or after-5 dress, each contestant is required to wear the same dress to both the interview and the pageant. As with the Future Miss contestants, pageant coordinators continue to focus on the importance of age appropriateness. The above contestants will once again have the opportunity to enter the Miss Photogenic competition during registration. This extra event requires a standard 4x6 or 5x7 photo of the contestant, either in color or black & white, preferably a head & shoulders shot. One trophy will be awarded in each age group. There is a $10 processing fee for 1 picture or $15 processing fee for 2 separate photos. Final registration for contestants ages 5 through high school juniors will take place Saturday, November 21st from 10:00am-Noon. All ages are as 2-6-10. There is no fee to enter. Contestants must be residents of or attend school in Tyler County. No exceptions will be made to sign someone up after Saturday, November 21. Registration will be held at the Citizens State Bank Community Room in Woodville, enter through the west side doors on Charlton Street and go to the second floor. Contestants do not have to be present at registration. If a parent is unable to attend, please send a friend or family member. NOW AVAILABLE, EMAIL REGISTRATION!

The following Information will be collected at registration: Contestants Name, Date of Birth, Parents Name & Address, email address if available and contact phone numbers. Senior Miss Tyler County Contestants Senior contestants must be classified as a senior in high school or a high school graduate that is not more than 21 years old. $2,200 in scholarship money will be awarded during the pageant which will be held on February 7, 2009. The senior Miss Tyler County contestants will make a short appearance at the beginning of our afternoon pageant just prior to their interview which will be held at the Woodville High School Library. Along with the afternoon interview, these contestants will compete during our evening pageant in talent and evening gown.
