Frankie Rogers Appointed To Advisory Committee
Tyler County Booster
Former Woodville City Health Officer Frankie Rogers has been appointed to the Texas Department of State Health Services Code Enforcement Officer Registration Program Advisory Committee. Rogers, who has served as City Health Officer for a number of years recently resigned from that position. He has worked in health related positions for many years, including a stint as Tyler County Hospital Administrator. Rogers said that his major concern is food safety in the state, and that incidents such as the recent major recall of contaminated eggs points out the fact that food-borne illnesses can come from many sources. He wants to see that more and better inspections be made to all food grown in state or entering the state from outside sources. Rogers will serve in his new Advisory Committe capacity until December, 2011.
