Tyler County Booster

If you like a good story, or have an interest in Texas history, Heritage Village in Woodville is the place to be this Saturday evening as the Village presents the Annual “Ghosts and Legends of Texas Past. “ The gates open at 6 p.m. with James and Priscilla Hale presenting their musical entertainment until the storytelling begins at 7 p.m. in the Cherokee Church. DeCee Cornish is the featured storyteller this year. He is a native born Texan who was raised in Houston. He has a special knack for pulling you right into his story and keeping you there! Of course, there are always a couple of local yarn spinners on hand. This year you will get to hear Annette Stagg and Tsagoi Jennings. Shelby Smith is producing this year’s event. In addition to the entertaiment, the Village buildings will be open. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12. The Pickett House will be open Saturday evening, and you might as well come out and make an evening of it with an early dinner before the tall tales begin?
