Woodville man arrested after assault on estranged girlfriend

Woodville police were called to the 500 block of Hyde Street on Monday, September 19 when witnesses saw a female running from a residence followed by a male suspect. Officer John Fuller, assisted by officer Bubba Sheffield arrested Tory D. Foster, age 29 of Woodville in the incident. Foster was charged with family violence, assault causing bodily injury. According to the victim, Foster’s estranged girlfriend with whom he shares children, Foster had been to family court that morning and returned home angry. He proceeded to hit the victim in the face and pin her on the ground, according to reports. In an effort to get away, the victim reportedly bit the suspect on the right hand and left ear. Although she suffered trauma in addition to scratches and bruises, the victim did not have to be hospitalized.
