Annual Mexican Fiesta Dinner and Auction Sept. 21
Tyler County Booster - September 2007
If you like good Mexican food and a good auction, Friday, September 21, will be a great day! Tyler County Heritage Society is holding its annual Mexican Fiesta Dinner and Auction.
The event is held each year before the first Woodville home football game.
Food will be served, and the auction held, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and continuing until 7 p.m.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children under twelve and can be purchased from Sullivan’s Hardware, Heritage Village, Mary Bee’s Florist Shop, any Board of Director’s member or at the door Friday night. Phone bids for the silent auction will be accepted until 4 p.m. Friday. To place a phone bid, call the Village at (409) 283-2272.
Money raised through the dinner and auction is used for a range of purposes at the Village, including operations and general expenses.
It also helps fund numerous projects, several that have recently been completed and several that are ongoing.
All of the maintenance and repair that goes into making Heritage Village the very successful museum it has become takes a lot of money. You can help by supporting the dinner and auction.
Some of the auction items already on display in the Village Gift Shop include an antique egg carrier, a Wilton Armetale Texas tray, Marjolein Bastin Garden Welcome Plaque, Tyler County Collage picture, wooden bowl, matted Sunflower Watercolor from June Reid, a baby quilt and many other items. The dinner is an opportunity for area people to help keep a very successful and respected museum open for everyone to enjoy.
Be sure you bring the out the family, friends and others and enjoy this excellent meal and exciting auction this Friday night.
