Ameriforge dedicates new 3,000 sq.ft. Admininistration Building
Tyler County Booster - November 2007

Moving ahead from it’s ground breaking ceremony on June 14, 2006 Ameriforge in Woodville completed its all new 3,000 sq ft. administration building and held a formal dedication ceremony on Friday for the Woodville employees and staff with the help of the Tyler County Chamber of Commerce and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Ameriforge Woodville is still known to some as Texas Metal Works; however, in 2002 Texas Metal Works was purchased by Ameriforge. The forging facility has been in its current location since 1983. It was originally relocated from Beaumont, TX. Ameriforge Woodville currently employs 26 people.

Dave Heminger, president, was on hand to speak about the companies growth and the new focus the corporation has for future development of its worldwide markets.

Woodville Mayor Tony Castillo and Tyler County Judge Jacques Blanchette expressed their support for the company expressing hope for a good future here locally.

The company, which manufactures forged products, has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years, said Heminger, beginning at about $100,000,000. Now it’s about $260, 000,000 he said, and we are expanding globally everyday. We now have the ability to complete on a global basis with our nine locations across the globe.

“The new office facility is such an improvement over the mobile office we previously used. We can now be confident in our first impression with new customers,” said Michael Watts, Woodville plant manager.

The theme of the dedication ceremony was “Forging the Future” and coincidentally it is the same message that was in the local headlines in THE BOOSTER in 1983, when the facility first opened in Woodville.

Community interaction is very important to Ameriforge. To that end Ameriforge sponsors the Little League baseball and softball and three of the employees are part of the volunteer fire department.

The Mission statement of Ameriforge reads as follows:
Ameriforge Group is a manufacturer of forged products dedicated to growing with selected customers and suppliers through collaboration in process and technical innovation applied on a global basis.

“Ameriforge is committed to excellence in serving its customers, employees, and the communities where we do business,” said David Heminger, president and chief executive officer of Ameriforge. “This new building provides a much improved working environment for our Woodville-based employees...a significant step forward in our efforts to be a solid corporate citizen in Tyler County.”
