43rd Annual Miss Tyler County Pageant registration begins Nov. 13
Tyler County Booster - November 2007

Registration for the 43rd annual Miss Tyler County Pageant, which will be held Saturday, February 9th, will begin on Tuesday, November 13th with the second and final sign-up to be held Saturday, November 17th. The American Business Women's Association, whom sponsor this annual event, are excited to begin making arrangements for this year's pageant.

      Contestants ages 5 to 12 will once again appear in an afternoon pageant scheduled for 1:30pm at the Eagle Summit. These contestants will have interviews at the Woodville High School Library prior to their stage presentation. Attire is church dress or pageant dress with pageant coordinators stressing the importance of age appropriateness. Each crowned winner from the afternoon pageant will be presented on stage during the evening pageant.
Contestants ages 13 to juniors in high school will compete in an evening pageant set to begin at 6:30pm in the Eagle Summit. These contestants will also be interviewed in the Woodville High School Library prior to their stage presentation. Attire is full length formal or after-5-dress, each contestant is required to wear the same dress to both the interview and the pageant. As with the Future Miss contestants, pageant coordinators continue to focus on the importance of age appropriateness.

      The above contestants will once again have the opportunity to enter the Miss Photogenic competition during registration. This extra event requires a standard 4x6 or 5x7 photo of the contestant, either in color or black & white, preferably a head & shoulders shot. One trophy will be awarded in each age group. There is a $10 processing fee for 1 picture or $15 processing fee for 2 separate photos.

      Registration for contestants ages 5 through high school juniors will take place as follows: Tuesday, November 13th from 5:00-7:00pm, and Saturday, November 17th from 9:00am-Noon. All ages are as of 2-9-08. There is no fee to enter. Contestants must be residents of or attend school in Tyler County . No exceptions will be made to sign someone up after Saturday, November 17th. Registration will be held at the Citizens State Bank Community Room in Woodville, enter through the west side doors on Charlton Street and go to the second floor. Contestants do not have to be present at registration. If a parent is unable to attend, please send a friend or family member.

      The following Information will be collected at registration: Contestants Name, Date of Birth, Parents Name & Address, email address if available and contact phone numbers.
