Angels in Tyler County banks
Tyler County Booster - December 2007

"Adopt an Angel" angels have made their way to area banks this week. Residents will be able to choose an "angel" tag for either a boy or a girl from the Christmas trees in the bank lobbies or at the bank drive-thrus. The tags will have the age of the child, the shoe size, clothing size and a toy or gift interest.
"Each year we have a tremendous response from the citizens of Tyler County," Child Welfare Board's Kathy Harris said. "We are asking you again this year to help spread Christmas cheer to the needy children in our county.
Please go to your bank, chose an "angel" from their Christmas tree, shop for the angel and return your gifts to the bank by Friday, December 7. We really appreciate the banking institutions in our county that help us out with this project."
If you don't have the time to shop for one of the angels you can enclose a check in an envelope and someone else will shop for you.
"The best part about giving to the "Adopt An Angel" project is that all of the money and gifts stay in Tyler County," Harris said.
You can contact Terry Allen or Kathy Harris at (409) 283-2503 for more information. Send money donations to: 100 West Bluff, Rm. 108, Woodville, Tx 75979.
