Early voting ends Tuesday
CORRIGAN -- Early voting for the city election will end Tuesday, May 8. The Corrigan City Council and mayoral election will be held on May 12 at the Sechrest- Webster Community Center. Listed below are some important dates concerning the election: Early voting will be held through May 8 at the Sechrest- Webster Community Center from 8 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. On May 1 and May 8 the hours will be extended to 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. Mail in ballots must be received by May 4. In the city election, Position 2 is currently held by Bill Safford, Position 4 is currently held by Deidre Cornelius and the mayoral position is currently held by Robert “Dooley” Johnson. Cornelius, Safford and Johnson have fi led for reelection. George Murphy has fi led for position 2, Earlie Baldwin has fi led for position 4 and Wayne Geeslin has fi led for the mayoral position. Council member Lou Eaton resigned and therefore her position 3 will be fi lled in the May election. Two people Bryan Fann Sr. and Johnnie Marie Brooks have fi led for her former position. There will be no Corrigan- Camden Independent School District Board of Trustees election due to no opposition. |
