2012 Winterfest set for December 8

 

CORRIGAN — With the thought of Holidays in our minds, the City of Corrigan would like to provide many opportunities to come together and celebrate as a community. On December 6, 2012 our annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be held at Corrigan City Hall at 6:00 p.m. with the Corrigan Band performing and Corrigan Elementary School Choir singing Christmas Carols. The Corrigan Band will be selling hotdog suppers consisting of hotdogs, chips, cookies and drink. This will get the community in the Christmas spirit for the 2012 Winterfest Dee 8, 2012. Lots of activities are planned for Winterfest beginning with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Lions/Club at the Community Center and the Christmas Parade starting at Bullock Motors and ending at Corrigan City Hall. Next will be pictures with Jolly Ole’ Saint Nick, performances from our very own Pee Wee Cheerleaders. Something new this year, Johnny Seago, our local celebrity will emcee a Community Singing in the Sechrest Webster Community Center. Throughout the day arts and crafts booths with provide Christmas shopping within our own hometown. For booth registration or to enter a fl oat, car, bicycle, ATV please call Corrigan City Hall at 398-4126. Age brackets for the Art Contest are : Pre-K through 2nd grade Coloring contest (picture provided) 3rd through 6th grade Poster contest Junior High and High School Poster contest Parade divisions Divisions of Bicycles: Ages 7 and Under Ages 8 to 12 Divisions of ATV Ages 12 & Under Ages Over 12 All entries for the Art Contest must be turned in by 11: 00 a.m on Dec.
