Burglary suspect jailed without bond
LIVINGSTON — During the morning hours of Nov. 28, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Offi ce responded to report of a burglary in progress at a residence on FM 350 north near FM 942. Upon their arrival deputies saw a white male subject leave the residence. The suspect, who was later identifi ed as Jason Harris, was immediately taken into custody. Detectives from the Polk County Sheriff’s Offi ce went to the location to assist Deputies in the investigation. During the course of the investigation it was discovered Jason Harris had taken jewelry from the attached building then made entry into the residence just before deputies arrived. The small Mazda truck. Harris was driving was towed to the Polk County Sheriff’s Offi ce where it was impounded for further investigation. Harris was jailed for burglary of a habitation, a second degree felony. The defendant is currently under indictment for prior charges. With the current indictment, the Polk County District Attorney’s Offi ce requested a hearing before the District Judge to deny bond for this charge. Visiting Judge David Wilson granted the no bond and. Harris was returned to the Polk County Jail where he will not be eligible to be released on a bond.
