Polk County Coon Hunters Association events held

 

CORRIGAN -- The Polk County Coonhunters Association recently had some events. The dates for the UKC night hunts and bench shows are: Feb.l and Feb.2 (included in this report), March 1 - bench show and hunt, March 29 - mini slam and April 6 - memorial scholarship event, auction, raffle, bench show and night hunt The Feb.1 bench show was judged by Floyd Daniels. Female Best of Breed and Best of Show Black and Tan Junior female "PR" RTO's was won by Shome Blk Cream Rizn owned by Haskell Wright. Male Best of Breed and Best of Show Treeing Walker puppy male"PR" was won by East Texas Maximum X Factor owned by Richard Chamblee Show Champion Black and Tan female "PR" HR was won by Gitgon Jazz Owned by Haskell Wright. Grand Champion Redbone male GRCH "PR" was won by East Texas Trip Owned by Mark Chamblee. The Feb.1 sf night hunt winners were: Night Champion Treeing Walker NTCH Moss Hill Cooncatcher Owned by Willie West of Trinity. Registered 1st Clary's Ragin Huck owned by Ray Clary of Diboll 2nd Hazelwood's Slick River Joe owned by Aaron Hazelwood of Kirbyville. The Feb.2nd bench show was judged by Roger Hamilton. Male Best of Breed and Best of Show Treeing Walker was won by pup 3 Colors All Riled Up owned by Jessica Mc Rae. Champion Female Black was won by Tan Lewis' Indiana Midnite Mae owned by Mark Pickard. Champion Male Black was won by Tan Pickard's Rocky Creek Bully Boy owned by Mark Pickard. Grand Champion Male Treeing Walker was won by GRCH Crimson Creek's Big Deal II owned by Jessica Mc Rae. The Feb.2nd night hunt winners were: Night Champion Lider's Tejas Kate owned by Freddy Slider of Jacksonville Registered 1st Reid's Woodrow owned by Wesley Reid of Eustace and handled by Michael Baker ( This was Reid's Woodrow's first Competition hunt) 2nd Son's Bad News owned by Joey McKee of Woodville. The officers and club members want to make your visit to their events an enjoyable time. Take a young person or friend with you on your next hunt. Introduce them to the joy of the sport of coon hunting.
