Local arrested for stabbing another male
CORRIGAN -- On Friday, March 15, a Corrigan man turned himself into the Polk County Sheriff's Department. Horace aka "Lucky" Harrell, 35, of Corrigan turned himself into the PCSO for a warrant for an Aggravated Assault (felony 2) that occurred on January 27 at 306 West Second Street Apt. 2 in Corrigan. According to Corp. Dana Vanya of the Corrigan Police Department, Harrell stabbed Clayton Johnson, of Moscow, in the left side of his face with a large butcher knife. Johnson had to be transported to Lufkin Memorial where he received stitches and staples. Harrell also had outstanding warrants with the Polk County Sheriff's Department. Derrick Jackson, 29, of Hudson was arrested on March 18 for warrants issued by Angelina County. Jackson had six counts including: Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon (blunt object -- felony 2), Aggravated Assault with fi re (felony 2), two counts of Unlawful Restraint (felony 2), Theft (misdemeanor 2) and interference with an emergency call. Jackson was denied bail on all charges.
