Smith surrenders to Corrigan Police
CORRIGAN -- A local man surrendered to the Corrigan Police Department on Tuesday after his residence was searched last Thursday. Patrick Smith, 36, of Corrigan, surrendered to the CPD and was arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance according to the Corrigan Police Chief Darrell Gibson. Smith's residence located in the Snow Hill community was searched after an ongoing investigation of illegal narcotics distribution that led to the search warrant for the residence. Smith was not at the residence when police arrived. Several items were seized that are suspected to be involved in other crimes. Some of the items confi scated included a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Chevrolet Impala. Corrigan P.D. was assisted by Polk County Sheriff's Offi ce in conducting the search warrant of Smith's residence. Gibson stated that the department will be working very aggressively to stop the drugs in Corrigan. Investigation was led by CPD Narcotics Offi cer, James Hight. Hight was assisted by CPD K- 9 Offi cer Leigh, Chief Darrell Gibson, CPD; Javier Segura, CPD; Captain John Sanders, PCSO; Lieutenant Mark Jones, PCSO; Deputy Dustin Lowery, PCSO; and Deputy Scott Wright, PCSO. The confi scated vehicles were towed by Clifton Chevrolet, as a courtesy for Corrigan Police Department.
