The Courier is published in the county seat of Crockett, home of the World Championship Fiddlers Festival. Crockett is famous for its many historic homes, including two open to the public. A museum in the former depot offers a view of the area's past and the county’s 200-plus historical markers provide more insight into bygone days. The Grapeland Peanut Festival and Lovelady Love-Fest are annual events that attract large crowds.
