Thievery at the Chamber

On Saturday, April 18, at approximately 11:26 a.m. Jessica Zwar called the police dispatcher to report that a break in had occurred at the Crockett Chamber of Commerce/Civic Center.
Officer Craig Osaw was dispatched to the scene and assisted by other officers during the investigation.
During the investigation it was learned that a pottery planter had been thrown through a plate glass sliding door to gain entry to the chamber of commerce.
Once inside the suspects ransacked the offices and several items were taken.
These items include a digital camera, a scanning radio and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects also went into the lobby of the civic center and took come candy bars from the concession area and scattered them around the lobby.
The civic center had been used for an event the night before the break-in and was vacated and secured at approximately at 12:30 a.m. the night before.
The case is still under investigation.
