Driver airlifted following crash

A Haltom City woman was airlifted to ETMC Tyler following a one-vehicle crash on South Fifth Street on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
According to reports from Crockett Police Department, a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by 45-year-old Shirley J. Wells was northbound on South Fifth Street near the intersection of Bowie Avenue when the crash occurred.
According to witnesses, the Suburban crashed into a utility pole near an insurance business about 2:15 p.m.
Kimberly Ann Tingle, 45, of Haltom City, a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash was airlifted to Tyler for treatment of the injuries she sustained in the crash.
Ms. Wells was transported to ETMC Crockett. CPD Officer Anthony Griffin said the crash remained under investigation.
Crockett Fire Department and ETMC EMS also responded.
