3rd Annual Hunters’ Expo in Crockett

 On Aug. 7-9th the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their 3rd Annual Hunters’ Expo. 
The Crockett Civic Center was turned into a “Hunters’ Paradise.” 
There were about 30 vendors who participated in the showing and selling of their products. 
The famous wall of horns was displayed on the stage of the auditorium. 
Many door prizes were given throughout the three-day exposition. 
Jim Bridges with Crockett Sales and Rentals was the winner of the Wall of Horns drawing. 
Bridges won several t-shirts, a Historical Cookbook, and a mineral block. 
Frank Minton, chairman of the expo entertained the crowd with his best friend and pet, Ace. 
Minton had Ace, “the dog” on stage dancing and singing for the spectators.
The Crockett Boys & Girls Club ran the concession stand for the three days of the event.
 The Crockett Boys & Girls Club is directed by Xavier Wooten, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. 
Wooten was thrilled to have the opportunity to take part in the Hunters’ Expo.  Wooten passionately expressed how grateful he was to earn money for the Boys & Girls Club.  He felt they raised a successful amount.
