LISD approves proposed tax rate

LATEXO - The Latexo Independent School District Board of Trustees met in a special called board meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 4 in the Latexo ISD Elementary School Library.
According to the unofficial minutes of the meeting, trustees present included Butch Patton, Kent Clark, Mike Furrh, Thomas Gilson, Barbara Stewart, and Sharla Kilian.
Member Jennifer Patton was reportedly absent from the meeting.
Administration present included Dr. Roy H. Tucker, Cynthia Neel and Dr. Stacy Easterly.  
Trustees approved all transfers as presented.
Trustees also approved the 2009 Certified Tax Rolls as prepared by Houston County Appraisal District Chief Appraiser Kathryn Keith.
No action was taken on the 2009-2010 proposed budget.
Trustees unanimously approved the proposed tax rate M&O and I&S to remain the same at $1.21.
Trustees set the public meeting date for the proposed budget and proposed tax rate for the 2009-2010 school year for Thursday, Aug. 27 at 6:15 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. a called meeting to approve the amended budget for 2008-2009; to approve the budget for 2009-2010 and to approve the tax rate.
