Crockett to hold public hearing on proposed budget, tax rate

Crockett City Council will meet on Monday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. at City Hall for a public hearing on the proposed budget for the 2010-2011 fiscal year and the proposed 2010 tax rate. Also on the agenda, the city administrator will give reports on the Houston County Water District rate increase and Texas Municipal League/Capp equity returns. Other agenda items include request for a zone change and specific use permit, consider-ation and approval of an ordinance pertaining to alco-holic beverages and amending the zoning code to regulate the height of buildings. After the budget review and projection estimates for FY 2010 - fourth quarter, council will take comments from the audience or council members.
