Man charged with Kidnapping

On Thursday, Feb. 12, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Houston County Sheriff’s Office received a call alleging a possible kidnapping. 
It was reported that the victim, Jeffrey Williams of Crockett was being held against his will by
a male subject, later identified as Terrance Easterling, age 23, also of Crockett.
An extortion attempt was made and deputies arrived on scene and identified the suspect and victim. 
When attempts were made to make contact with the suspect, he fled the scene on foot, but was soon captured by the deputies.
Easterling was arrested and taken to the Houston County Jail and booked in on aggravated kidnapping with bond set at $20,000, robbery with bond set at $20,000 and evading arrest with bond set at $1,000.  He is still incarcerated as of Friday, Feb. 20.
