The Crockett City Council will meet in regular session on Monday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. During that meeting, there will be an executive session to consider fire chief hiring action. Agenda items for the open meeting will include considering action, if any, on hiring a fire chief. Also, the council will consider an amendment to Chapter 13 of the City Code of Ordinances to permit certain directional signs. This is an amendment the council tabled at its January meeting due to the lack of a voting quorum. Council will hear the annual racial profiling report, nominate/elect a new police officer and nominate/elect a new full-time firefighter. Further, the council will consider and approve a resolution authorizing the developer for Pine Ridge Manor Apartments, currently known as Prince Hall Manor Apartments, to act on behalf of the city to apply for home funds from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Afairs. A resolution authorizing the construction of a housing tax credit development will also be considered. Additionally, the council will consider a resolution approving cooperation with an Oncor Cities Steering Committee to review Oncor Electric Delivery Company’s requested rate change, hiring legal and consulting services and to negotiate with the company and direct any necessary litigation and appeals. Other action will involve awarding a proposal for Home Grant Management Services. The final item on the agenda is comments from the audience or council. |
