Authorities search for shooter

Houston County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the indictment of the person or persons involved in the drive by shooting at the home of a Grapeland coach on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 5:48 p.m.
According to reports, Houston County Sheriff Darrel Bobbitt was first on the scene at the residence located in Augusta on FM 227 east of FM 2022 and west of Hwy. 21 east.
Authorities said someone driving an older model vehicle reportedly fired five shots at the house.
According to deputies, at least four bullets struck the home.
Law enforcement immediately combed the area searching for the suspect vehicle.
During the nearly four hour search, law enforcement investigated several vehicles matching the description of the of the suspects vehicle.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Grapeland Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety also responded to the call.
