Man transported after one-vehicle crash

A 45-year-old Lufkin man was transported to ETMC Crockett by ETMC EMS Tuesday, Dec. 30.

According to reports, the crash occurred at 6:55 p.m. when a 1991 Dodge pickup, driven by Carey Hawkins, was westbound on Hwy. 7 ran off the edge of the road, overcorrected, then traveled into the east bound lane, overcorrected again, left the road on the west side, struck an embankment and rolled.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Brady Germeroth, Houston County Sheriff's Office and Crockett Fire Department responded to the call.
