Latexo crowns royalty
Houston County Courier -  January 2009

Latexo High School Homecoming Coronation was held Saturday, January 17, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Latexo High School Gymnasium. 
The theme for the evening was “Dreams on Ice” with icy reflections setting the wintry mood. 
The ceremony began with the introduction of the 2008 King and Queen, Curtis Taylor and Jayna Higginbotham. 
They looked on as the 2009 candidates were introduced.
The duke and duchess were chosen from seventh and eighth grade candidates.
Representing the seventh grade were Monica Head, Randi Lane, Herman DeLaFuente, and Hunter Smith. 
Representing the eighth grade were Paige Hardy, Samantha Noyola, Matthew Millican, and Kolby Patton.
The prince and princess were chosen from the ninth, 10th, and 11th grade candidates. 
Representing the freshman class were Kathryn Clark, Bryanna Golembeck, Taylor Miller, and Aaron Quillin. 
Representing the sophomore class were Katelyn Bentley, Emily Price, Tyler Byrne, and Blake Gates. 
Representing the junior class were Joni Haynes, Kimberly Rodriguez, Kenny Cloud, and Kaleb Skalicky.
The 2009 Homecoming King and Queen were chosen from the senior class candidates. 
Representing the senior class were Ashley Anderson, Melinda Goolsby, Brittni Sims, Lacee Taylor, Eric Johnson, Zach McGaughey, Brian Simpson, and Chase Stewart.
The 2009 Duke and Duchess are Hunter Smith and Monica Head; the 2009 Prince and Princess are Kaleb Skalicky and Emily Price; and, the 2009 Homecoming King and Queen are Brian Simpson and Melinda Goolsby.
