Man charged with drug, weapons possession
Houston County Courier -  January 2009

Houston County Sheriff Darrel Bobbitt reported that on Jan. 23 at approximately 10 a.m.  his office received a call regarding a vehicle with a possible intoxicated driver in a ditch on CR 1535
HCSO Sgt. Justin Killough and Deputy Michael McCreight responded to the scene.
The deputies made contact with a man, identified as 29-year-old Keith Lee Lombard, of Crockett. Lombard, was
wearing a trench coat walking down the road away from the vehicle.
During a routine search, Sgt. Killough noticed that the trench coat was weighted down in the back and discovered a container that had a white powdered substance that field-tested positive as an illegal substance for methamphetamine in it, along with drug paraphernalia.
Lombard was also in possession of marijuana and a butterfly knife, which is a prohibited weapon.
Deputies inventoried Lombard’s vehicle before having it towed and discovered several more unlawful weapons; a large Samurai-type sword, a pair of nun chucks, a large three stick staff linked together by chain and more drug paraphernalia.
Lombard was placed under arrest and taken to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Jail where he was booked in on possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony with bond set at $7,500; possession of prohibited weapons, class A misdemeanor, with bond set at $4,000; possession of marijuana, class B misdemeanor, with bond set at $2,500 and possession of drug paraphernalia, class C misdemeanor.
Lombard was also wanted in Montgomery County on a probation violation for an original charge of engaging in organized criminal activity, which is a no bond. As of press time on Friday, he remained incarcerated at the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
