Three injured in crash

Three women were transported to ETMC Crockett following a crash on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the intersection of South Fourth Street and Bell Avenue at about 2:05 p.m.
According to Crockett Police Department reports, a 2002 PT Cruiser, driven by Laverne Sims, 57, of Crockett, was eastbound on Bell Avenue attempting to turn north onto Fourth Street when the crash occurred.
Reports indicate a 2007 Ford F-150, driven by Georgia Scurlock, 75, of Pennington that was northbound on Fourth Street when the crash occurred in the intersection.
Both drivers as well as a passenger in Ms. Sims vehicle, Ruby Williams were transported to the hospital by ETMC EMS for treatment of their injuries.
According to Crockett Police Department Officer Vince Baker, as of press time the crash remained under investigation.
Crockett Fire Department and Texas Department of Public Safety also responded to the call.
