CISD trustees approve agreement

Crockett Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved an agreement with Dr. Doug Moore to act as superintendent on an interim basis for 21 days.
In other action, trustees approved the employment of teachers for the 2009-2010 school year as well as the employment of Johnita martin as the new Junior High School principal. Ms. Martin is a Crockett native and graduate of Crockett High School. She is the daughter of CISD members Carrie and John Davis.
Trustees retired to an executive session at 5;50 p.m. and returned to open session at 6:35 p.m.
Additional meeting dates of Thursday, July 23 and Monday, Aug. 3 were approved for budget preparation.
Trustees also approved the Crockett Elementary School Student/Parent Handbook for the 2009-2010 school year and the 2009 Student Code of Conduct.
CISD Board President Lela Wheeler was absent from the meeting and Vice President Deborah Kennedy presided.
