HCSO solves burglaries
Houston County Courier - July 2009
Houston County Sheriff’s Office deputies were able to solve several burglaries, which began with a suspicious vehicle stop.
On Wednesday, June 17 a
call came in to the sheriff’s office reporting suspicious traffic in the south side of Houston County where several burglaries had taken place.
After detaining the vehicle, evidence was found that lead to the arrest of several people.
Houston County Sheriff Darrel Bobbitt said that at least four burglaries have been solved and there could be more in the near future as the investigation continues.
The sheriff said that so far one adult has been arrested and multiple juveniles are involved.
Michael Vasquez, 17, of Crockett, was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm, a state jail felony.
He was released on a $5,000 bond.
The sheriff said these cases were solved by someone reporting the suspicious activity and deputies following up on that information.
