Lucas promoted to president

Patricia Lucas has been promoted to the position of president of the Prosperity Bank Crockett Banking Center.
A native of Houston County and graduate of Crockett High School, Mrs. Lucas, was promoted the position of president on June 1.
In December, 2002, First State Bank was acquired by Prosperity Bank, a Houston-based regional financial holding company with 158 full-service banking centers in Houston, South Texas, Dallas/Fort Worth area, Central and East Texas.
Mrs. Lucas began in banking at Davy Crockett Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1967.
She was promoted to vice president and loan officer, and later executive vice president when Davy Crockett Federal Savings and Loan Association became Davy Crockett Bank.
When Davy Crockett Bank closed in 1992. She worked for U.S. Congressman Jim Turner until November, 1998.
She returned to banking at First State Bank of Grapeland in November 1998, as vice president/real estate loan officer and was later promoted to senior vice president.
She is a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and active in Houston County Fair and Youth Livestock Show organization.
She currently serves as the chairperson of the horse futurity and is credited as the founder of the Houston County Foal Futurity Program.
She has four sons: Scott Lucas of Crockett, Chad Lucas of Hudson, David Barnes of Tyler, and Dustin Barnes of Olive Grove Miss. She also has two grandchildren: Trace and Kinsey Lucas of Hudson.
