Deputies arrest man after traffic stop

A Corsicana man was arrested in Grapeland on Monday, June 23 and charged with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop.
According to reports, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford Mercury at the intersection of Pine and South Olive streets in Grapeland about 1:30 p.m.
Rodney Woodard, 34, was arrested on the scene for traffic violations and when authorities conducted an inventory of the vehicle they reportedly found over a pound of marijuana.
Woodard was taken to the Houston County Sheriff's Office Jail and charged with possession of marijuana, a state jail felony.
