Sheriff urges caution to prevent car burglaries
Houston County Courier
By Lynda Jones
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office reports there have been several complaints of car burglaries in various areas of the county. Sheriff Darrel Bobbitt reminds citizens to remove valuable property from their vehicles and make sure they lock the doors. A majority of the recent car burglaries may have been avoided if the doors were locked, according to an HCSO press release. Citizens are asked to report any suspicious activity to the HCSO, along with a description and or name of the suspicious person if known. Anyone with information relating to this type of crime or any other crime may report the information to the Houston County Crime Stoppers at 545-TIPS (8477). You may be eligible for a reward.
