College class development underway
Houston County Courier
CROCKETT – According to officials with Crockett Eco-nomic and Industrial Corpora-tion planning has begun to determine which classes will be taught at the new vocational and technical school presently under construction at the intersection of South Fourth Street and Loop 304. CEIDC President Jake Ca-prielian, sent a letter to ap-proximately 100 area busi-nesses asking for their input regarding the types of classes they felt would benefit the area. In the letter, Caprielian said, “This facility will offer a va-riety of courses some of which will be vocational and technic-al. These courses will help staff local and regional busi-nesses as well as future busi-nesses that will be attracted to the area because of the readily available and trained work-force.” CEIDC asks the following questions to business owners: What are the courses or train-ing that your business would benefit from? and What do you think are the areas of training that this County and Region would benefit from? Suggestions for classes can be mailed to CEIDC at PO Box 307 Crockett, TX 75835. For additional information call CEIDC at 546-5636.
