Easter Service has been cancelled Easter Sunrise Service has been cancelled at Mission Te-jas State Park on Sunday, April 4 The Mission is having some repair work done and have been informed that they will not be finished until well after Easter.
Cowboy and Hobo Show set The Cowboy and Hobo Show starring Tommy Horton as the Cowboy, Cactus Willie, Boxcar Bob and the Drifter on Saturday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at the Lovelady old Gym for $10. Tickets can be sold at the door or call Norma Dell Jones 545-6680.
Meeting Slated The Houston County Hospit-al District board of directors meeting will be Tuesday, March 16 at 5:30 p.m. in classroom 2 of the nursing school at ETMC Crockett.
Book Sale to be held A giant book sale will be held at J. H. Wootters Crockett Public Library on Wednesday, March 17 through the follow-ing week. The books are available dur-ing regular library hours, Mon., Tues., and Thurs. 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Wed. 8:30 a.m. –5 p.m., and Sat. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. There will be lots of teen and children’s fiction and nonfic-tion books, adult nonfiction books Proceeds from the sale will help add more materials to the library. |
