2009 Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen Contestants

The 2008 Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen is

Allyson Arnall. She is the daughter of John and Joy Arnall. He will crown the 2009 Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen on Saturday, May 9 at the Porth Ag Arena.
The candidates for the 2009 Queen are:

Megan Duvall
, daughter of Raymond and Wendi Duvall.
She is sponsored by Dial’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, LLC.
She is a junior at Latexo High School. Her activities include barrel racing and high school rodeo, where she went to the State High School Rodeo in poles and barrels.
She is a member of the FFA, Beta Club and is a student council junior class officer.
She says she has always dreamed of being a rodeo queen and she knows she would be a wonderful role model to all of the youth of Houston County.
She would consider it a great honor to represent the Crockett Lions Club, because of all that the Lions Club does to help the county.

Michaela Gardner
is the daughter of Charles and Rhonda Gardner. She is sponsored by Houston County Electric Coop.
She is a seventh grader at Lovelady Junior High. Her activities include cheerleading, basketball, cross-country, track, UIL, 4-H, Honor Society and showing horses.
She says that last year she volunteered at the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville.
She now realizes how much the Lions Club does to help and support others, and she would be proud to be the Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen.

Haylei Lively
is the daughter of Randy and Sissy Lively. She is sponsored by Old Town/Ya Ya’s.
She is a junior at Grapeland High School.
Her activities include FFA. Ag mechanics, riding horses and spending time with family and friends.
She says she thinks it would be a great honor to represent her community and the younger generation as the Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen.

Tiffany Mares
is the daughter of Bodie and Kathy Mares.
She is sponsored by H&S Quick Stop. She is a junior at Crockett High School. Her activities include FFA, varsity softball, volleyball, barrel racing, hunting, fishing, showing animals at the county fair and various charity and volunteer work.
She says she would like to be the Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen to help promote the sport of rodeo and to encourage young people to keep their faith strong so that they can achieve their dreams no matter what obstacles they may encounter.

Kristin Merriwether
is the daughter of Hillary Harrison and Todd and Amanda Merriwether.
She is sponsored by Fast Track Construction.
She is an eighth grader at Lovelady Junior High.
Her activities include basketball, UIL, 4-H, riding horses and hanging out with family and friends.
She says she would like to be the Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen because she feels she must involve herself in as many activities as she can to prepare herself for the challenges she will face later in life.

Shelby Oliver
is the daughter of Zane Oliver.
She is sponsored by Lucas Roofing and Sheet Metal.
She is a junior at Crockett High School. Her activities include softball, showing Arabian horses where she was the Reserve National Champion and has received numerous regional championships.
She says she would like to be the Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen because of her love for horses and she would like to fulfill the duties of the Crockett Rodeo Queen and one day become Miss Rodeo Texas.

Madison Robinson
is the daughter of Casey and Jami Robinson.
She is sponsored by Baskins. She is an eighth grader at Lovelady Junior High.
Her activities include cheerleading, basketball, cross-country, track, UIL, painting and junior high rodeo.
She says she would like to be the Crockett Lions Club Rodeo Queen because she would like to represent the Lions Club that does great charitable work and to represent the sport of rodeo which she loves.
