TxDOT to hold meeting

CROCKETT - The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 8 at 6 p.m. at the Crockett High School Commons area to discuss the proposed widening and improvement of Loop 307 between Hwy. 7 and US 287 south.
TxDOT proposes to construct two new northbound lanes parallel to the existing loop and convert the existing lanes to southbound traffic only.
The sides would be separated by a 40-foot wide grass median with a ditch down the middle.
Traffic signals are proposed at the intersections of Hwy. 7 and US 287 south.
According to information provided by TxDOT, although the project should not require any additional right-of-way, driveway access at some properties could be affected.
