City to hold run-off election

The city of Crockett will hold a run-off election on June 6 to determine which of two candidates in the Saturday, May 9 election will be in council Position 2
The run-off will be between Woodrow Jones who received 47 votes and Robert Meadows who garnered the nod from 81 citizens in the contested race.
The city of Crockett is the only entity in the county that will be required to hold a run-off election.
The unofficial vote tally and results of the Saturday election are:
